Introduction: Zane Austin Willard

Zane Austin Willard (b. 1998) is a storyteller and image creator. His work is not limited to one medium, but is beyond a single label. Zane works in animation, photography, experimental video, creative writing, screenwriting, narrative storytelling, documentary production, digital illustration, and digital imaging.  Zane's mission is to expand humanity's vision of what the world can be beyond race, beyond gender, beyond ability, and beyond the human. His goal is for his work to transcend the human body and allow the viewer or reader to imagine a world that is in their own reality, but a more unified utopia.
Zane is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Animation and Film & Media Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and has minors in Communications, Photography, and Cinema Studies at The University of Tampa in Tampa, FL. He hopes to pursue graduate work to continue developing his practice as a storyteller and image creator.
Zane's short film Switzerland has been screened at the Toronto Alternative Film Festival and the Tampa International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. He has also received celebrity recognition for his poem, Nico, Nico, Nico: A Tribute to Nico Tortorella.
